I’VE NEVER HAD LASH EXTENSIONS BEFORE, WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
Welcome to the Lash World!
Before we begin, we will have conversation to discuss your lash goals, any allergies you may have and answer any questions. I will invite you to hop onto the lash table, get comfortable and I will begin the service by cleansing your lashes of any moisturizer/oil/sunscreen that may be on the eye area with a foam cleanser, rinse and dry. Then I will ask you to open your eyes so I may apply a gentle hydrogel pad on the lower lash line to hold down the bottom lashes; this will be the only time your eyes will be open during the service. Once the gel pads are on, eyes are to remain closed. Once the eyes are closed and we’ve confirmed the gel pads are still comfortable, the lash application process will begin. While the lashes are being applied feel free to relax, most of my clients like to take a nap and wake up feeling prettier than ever.

I’VE NEVER HAD A LASH LIFT BEFORE, WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
A Lash Lift is the perfect way to accentuate your natural lashes!
To begin, I will invite you to hop onto the lash table and get comfortable. I will begin the service by cleansing your lashes of any moisturizer/oil/sunscreen that may be on the eye area with a foam cleanser, rinse and dry. Then I will ask you to open your eyes so I may apply a gentle hydrogel pad on the lower lash line to hold down the bottom lashes; this will be the only time your eyes will be open during the service. Once the gel pads are on, eyes are to remain closed. Once the eyes are closed and we’ve confirmed the gel pads are still comfortable, I will apply a small amount of adhesive balm to the lash line; this is to adhere the lash rod the lashes will be curled back on. Then I will apply the rod to the eyelid area and curl the lashes back onto the rod with a bit more adhesive balm. At this point the Lash Lifting process begins. While the lashes are being lifted, you are more than welcome to relax, take a nap, or listen to you favorite book or podcast.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT:
Lash appointments can take some time to perfect, a Full Set can take up to 3 hours and a Fill can be up to 2 hours.
Here are some ways to make the most out of that time:
*Dress comfortably and cozy.
There’s nothing worse than uncomfortable clothes pinching you while you’re trying to lay still and relax so dress comfortably and warm as my suite can feel a little chilly sometimes.
*Please arrive with no makeup.
While every lash service begins with a cleanse, we make the most out of our time by not needing to remove stubborn eyeshadows and liners. This saves us more time for lash application.
*Please remove contact lenses.
For the health and safety of your eyes, it’s best to remove your contact lenses before your appointment and arrive with back up lenses or glasses if needed.
*Prepare a podcast or audio book to listen to.
I love to catch up and chat but I do tend to go a bit silent once I’m really focused on lashing. I will always play soothing music and encourage you to relax and take a nap if you’d like, but if that’s not your thing, please feel free to put your headphones in and listen to your favorite playlist, book or podcast. Just have it pulled up and ready to press play before I apply the gel pads. Once the gel pads are on, eyes have to remain closed but I will help you press play.

LASH AFTERCARE:
*Cleanse lashes daily using Borboleta Gel or Foam Cleanser, twice daily if oily or active.
~How to select a cleanser:
Gel Cleanser - Best for Normal to Dry Skin Types
Foam Cleanser - Best for Normal to Oily Skin Types

*Remove makeup using Borboleta Oil-Free Makeup Remover at the end of each day.

*Apply Borboleta Lash Serum at the end of your skincare routine nightly.

*Avoid any Oil-Based Products as this can weaken the bond of lash adhesive.

*With Eyelash Extensions, do not use mascara.

*With a Lash Lift, do not use mascara for 24-48hrs after service.

*Be Delicate when touching your eyes. Avoid picking or pulling at your lashes, use lash wand to brush your lashes.

*Try Sleeping On Your Back To Avoid Damaging Your Lashes

*Maintain your Eyelash Extensions with regular fills every 2-3 weeks.

*Maintain your Lash Lift every 6-8 weeks.
